Over the years Woodlands has grown to become one of the largest employers in the Beerwah area with a current workforce of approximately 150 employees.

As the major employer in the area, Woodlands’ staff are loyal with one employee recently retiring after 56 years of employment and a large number of staff celebrating over 15 years service with us.

Due to the size and complexity of the business, Woodlands employs a range of staff to work across various aspects of the business from working on poultry farm to shedding and equipment and transport the produce and equipment.

For Bio-Security purposes, our staff are unable to own, care or keep any avian species at home (i.e. birds, chickens, ducks etc) whilst employed at Woodlands.

We may not have current vacancies in the following positions, however if you would like to click on the link below and provide a copy of your resume we will retain it for up to six months and will consider you for any positions that arise in the future.

The positions are as follows:

  • Poultry worker based on farms, feedmill, hatchery and egg grading facility
  • Electrician;
  • Plumber;
  • Welder;
  • Mechanic (Diesel/Motor);
  • Truck Driver (HR, MC, HC); and
  • Bobcat operator.

Hatchery Worker

This role is for a general duties labourer.

  • 4AM start
  • some heavy lifting required
  • duties will include cleaning daily
  • be able to work unsupervised
  • depending on duties allocated, Saturdays will be required.
  • be flexible in hours required to work
  • must have own reliable transport

Panel Beater

Woodlands is seeking a qualified Panel Beater / Spray Painter to maintain a wide range of vehicles and farm equipment at the main site at Beerwah Hours of work will generally be Monday to Friday, however some weekend work may be required depending on operational needs. Candidates should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Qualified Panel Beater / Spray Painter
  • Attention to Detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Work as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic
  • Reliable transport and drivers licence
  • Time management skills
